Heya people! Here's a thing we haven't dealt with yet, and that's agreeing on and recognizing what exactly we are going to communicate during the match via voic echat or otherwise. Please add your suggestions and discussion in the replies. Working as a high level team means working as a high level unit. Let's get started with the things we have collected in the Skype group by now.
- Enemy callouts. A callout is a succinct description of enemies you spotted in terms of position, enemy amount, enemy weapon and enemy movement/intentions. Please try to keep these as short and quick as possible without leaving any necessary details. Here is an excellent guide regarding this: squidboards.com/threads/guide-team-communication-callouts.2701/ we don't have to emulate the exact style and get confused in the process, but please take some inspiration of it
- If you unexpectedly died, spam the "booyah"/" nice" command and callout the weapon of the enemy and where they are heading. Make it clear that you died. Don't spam booyah for any other purpose.
- Use "C'mon" to make your own position clearer towards teammates should that be needed, e.g. if you coordinate an attack or are in danger. We could also use C'mon for callout purposes.
- Announce when you have your special weapon ready. Use it at your own leisure, but also consider if people would be benefitting as well. This goes especially for special weapons like Bubblers, Echolocators and Inkstrikes. Inversely, tell someone who has a special attack ready that you need it if you need it.
- Communicate coordinated attacks by suggesting the approaches everyone involved is supposed to take. Even saying which side you'll be taking on an enemy can be enough. Generally, make your own steps abundantly clear to avoid confusion.
